MY BUMPS IN THE ROAD ARE BUMPS OF LOVE
Welcome, My Friend! I know I am somewhat confusing to understand at times. However, if you trust Me, as I know you do, everything will turn up roses for you. I have told you to expect the unexpected in walking with Me. Today is one of those days for you. Hold onto your socks! It may get a little bumpy, but you are more than equal to any bumpy
experience.
It is days like today that keep life interesting. I know you are apprehensive about “bumps.” Well, there is no need to feel that way. My Bumps are happy bumps. You might find in the future that you would look forward to My Unpredictability.
No matter! Whether you are apprehensive or not, today will be extra special bumpy. That should send shivers down your spine! All that I am telling you is that you will find that today you will be surrounded by My Love. No matter which way you turn, I am going to hug you.
Take that smirk off your face. Today, there will be no way for you to escape My Loving Presence. How’s that for a bump in the road!
PONDER THIS
Ponder about what has happened to you since you have been coming to “just be” with Me? How have you changed? Why? What is it about coming to see Me that has made you
change?
Is it My Good Looks? Well, only if you like a monstrance. Have I brought you great fortune? I rarely bring money to those who visit Me, unless it directly relates to doing My Work. Even then, I bring just enough to get the job done. Have I brought you power? I never do such things, unless it relates to what is needed to do My Work.
What’s different? What’s new? What brings you back to Me over and over again? I know you feel Peaceful when you are here. How important is that to you? I know you get a different take on the problems of your hurry-up world. How important is that to you? I know you have found Me to be a gregarious, interactive being Whom you enjoy. How important is that to you?
You see. I am changing your perspective on what is important in life. I am purposely slowing you down and enticing you to get off the “merry-go-round” that is going nowhere. I am telling you over and over again, No. My Way, not yours!
I tell you now, as I have in the past.
Only in Me is your soul at rest.
How real are My Observations to you? Do they make sense to you? After a session with Me, do you feel better? When you try cooperating with My Most Holy Spirit and do things My Way, don’t you feel better? Aren’t you more Peaceful?
What’s new, Pussycat? Try the word, “everything.” Once you walk with Me, everything changes. Every day is exciting because there are no carbon copies. When you come to life in My Most Holy Spirit, you begin to truly experience life rather than be a constant victim of
life.
Does it take hard work changing bosses from you to Me? You bet it does! In time, you will come to appreciate My Way. It is so freeing to you.
Because of Who I am, I know exactly what activities will satisfy you. I know when to challenge you, and when to fold up and await a better, more receptive day. I know you inside out and upside down. I love every part of you. That is why life has become more stimulating for you. I set up the long-term goal for you and walk with you through the pain of obtaining each short-term objective.
It’s been invigorating and challenging, hasn’t it? My Friend, we’ve only just begun to live. There is so much more coming to you. Continue walking with Me for another day, month, year, and decade. I promise you, there will be no boredom. There will be pain as you grow, but you will find the growth so personally satisfying, you will not long for anything else but much more of Me. I’ll see you later.
IF ONLY…
If only you knew My Mind. If only you knew My Heart. If only you knew My Will for you. What a different life you would lead. If only you could trust Me more. If only your faith were stronger. If only you could defer your will to Mine, just for today. What a different day you would experience.
If only you saw things from My Vantage Point. If only you took things My Way. If only you persevered just a little longer being with Me. Your life today would be quite different. If only you did not worry so much. If only each day had twenty-five hours. If only you did not have to rush off. I could have helped the impossible seem possible.
Why do you have so little time for Me? Surely, nothing else could take precedence over Me! Yet, even when you are with Me just for a while, you have to battle stray thoughts relating to your agenda for today. If only you followed My Agenda for you today.
Where are you rushing to, My Martha? Run, run, run, My Little One! Do you know where you are going? Do you like the way life your way is teaching you to be a slave to your agenda? Do you like being a slave to tick-tock? What is so important that it cannot wait a little longer? Are those concerns more important than being with Me? Are you so filled up with “your stuff,” you’ve lost sight of My Stuff?
I do not wish to chide you.
I will let you do that.
I sit here in My Monstrance looking for you.
Where do I fit on your list of things to do? Have you become so important that you lose sight of what is truly important? Your lips say, “Yes.” Where is your heart?
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
It is wonderful to listen to My Words in your heart and learn about Me, My Ways, and My Love for you. I love being with you as much as you love being with Me. I do not wish you to ever stop coming to Me. That, of course, is your own free will choice.
However, coming to Me, being with Me, and listening to Me in your heart are only half the jobs. As I reveal new ways to you, you have to be willing to act in these new ways outside of this chapel. That is where the rubber meets the road. That is where We both learn how well you have been internalizing My Teachings.
It is all well and good to listen to instructions on how to play the game of golf. It all makes sense in your head, until you approach the first tee. That’s where you either miss the ball, or you see the ball trickle five feet from the tee. You may see the ball soar way high into the air and land in the woods. You may lose track of the ball once hit and lose the ball. Hopefully, you may hit a nice drive down the fairway. Like the lottery, you’ve got to be in it to win it. Do you get My Drift?
Today, how about doing something different for a change? If you let Me lead you for today, I will prompt you in what I want you to do. Are you up for the game? What have you got to lose? Doing things your way, you haven’t been able to even find the golf course.
I do not expect perfection. I just expect your willingness to be led by Me, your responding affirmatively to My Prompting, and your getting in My Game of Eternal Life. How about it? Enough talk. It’s time to walk the walk. You’ve got to be in it to ever have the chance of learning My Way of life.
